Consolidated Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

Frank W. Caughling, William B. Duck, Harry E. Dumuid, Edgar C. Hampton and James P. Hampton founded the company in the summer of 1905. The seat was in Toledo , Ohio . At first they made bicycles and motorcycles . Automobiles were only made in 1908 . The brand name was Consolidated . It is not known when the company was dissolved.

It is unknown whether there was any connection with The Consolidated Manufacturing Company . This company was formed in October 1903 as a merger of Kirk Manufacturing Company , Snell Cycle Fittings Company and Toledo Manufacturing Company in the same city. It was managed by ET Breckenridge, Ezra E. Kirk, AW Coulter and JBR Ransom. They manufactured four-wheeled automobiles until the end of 1905 and then Yale motorcycles.

Automobiles

The only model was a tricycle. It had two front wheels and one rear wheel. There was a basket seat for a passenger between the front wheels. In Europe this type of vehicle was called Tricar . There were also commercial vehicle versions with a front cargo space.
