Haberer & Company was an American manufacturer of carriages , automobiles, and bodywork .

Company history

Jacob Haberer, of German descent, founded the company in the 1880s in Cincinnati , Ohio . Another source gives exactly 1884. At first he made carriages. In 1910 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Cino . In May 1913, car production ended after the flood of the Ohio River had flooded the factory. In 1916 another fire caused damage to the factory. Car bodies were made until 1932.

1910 there was only the Model A . The vehicles were driven by a four-cylinder engine with 40 hp . The wheelbase was 284 cm. A touring car called a Pony Tonneau Touring and a roadster have been handed down as bodies .

In 1911 this model was named 40 HP . The engine remained unchanged. The wheelbase has been lengthened slightly to 287 cm. Are called Fore-door touring car , touring car, semi-Racer runabout and Toy Tonneau .

In 1912 the engine range was expanded, but the number of bodies was reduced. The 50 HP had a four-cylinder engine with 50 HP power. Its chassis had a 297 cm wheelbase. The open touring car offered space for five people. The 60 HP had a six-cylinder engine that made 60 HP. The wheelbase was 330 cm. The touring car had seven seats.

In 1913 the smaller model was renamed the Model 450-A Silent Cino . The wheelbase was now 305 cm. A two-seater roadster was added to the well-known touring car. The larger model was now called the Model 660-A . In addition to the previous touring car, there was also a two-seater roadster on a 335 cm wheelbase.
