BOSS Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frank A. Bowen, John A. Olson, Frank A. Smith and Frank Stratton founded the company in 1911. They chose the first letters of their last names as their company name. The seat was in Detroit , Illinois . They started producing automobiles designed by Stratton. The brand name was BOSS . Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Only one model was on offer. A four-cylinder engine with 35 hp propelled the vehicles. They were bodied as touring cars , but could also easily be used as delivery vans.
