Huselton Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Edgar C. Huselton ran the first car dealership in Butler County , Pennsylvania . He drove cars of Maxwell , Reliance and Reo . In 1909 he decided to build his own vehicles. The first prototype was not ready until September 1911 . Then he started the company in the same city. The production of passenger cars ran from 1911 to 1914. The brand name was Huselton . Moreover emerged 1913-1914 commercial vehicles , the Butler were called.

A total of 13 cars were built, one of which still exists.

Many parts were bought in. The axles came from Timken , the engine from an unknown manufacturer and engine accessories from Bosch .

The cars had a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 6700 cm³ and an output of 40 hp . It drove the rear axle via a four-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The chassis had a 312 cm wheelbase . The bodies were mainly touring cars and roadsters .

The trucks had the same engine. The payload was about 680 kg.
