C. Rossler Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1903 in Buffalo , New York , United States . The Buffalo Times reported it on March 30, 1903. Initially, it made car bodies. In 1906 William A. de Schaum joined the company. He had previously made vehicles with the Schaum Automobile & Motor Manufacturing Company . He made the first car in March 1906. This started the production of automobiles. The brand name was Rossler . De Schaum was unsatisfied and left the company, creating the De Schaum Motor Syndicate Company . Production at Rossler ended in 1908.

Highwheelers were on offer . With the big wheels, they were suitable for the bad roads of the time. The single cylinder engine was water cooled . 101.6 mm bore and 127 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 1030 cm³ . It was specified with 10/12 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a chain. The setup was a runabout with two seats. The curb weight was given as 272 kg. Solid rubber tires were typical for this type of vehicle .
