Anderson Carriage Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Anderson , Indiana company manufactured automobiles from 1907 to 1910, marketed as Anderson . Numbers are not recorded. A vehicle from 1909 still exists.

There were no affiliations with the Anderson Machine Company and the Anderson Buggy Company , which used the same brand name.

Mostly high-wheelers were on offer . They had 36- inch wheels and solid rubber tires. An air-cooled two-cylinder engine drove the rear axle via a friction gear . The engine output is initially specified as 12 HP . The wheelbase was 183 cm.

From 1907 to 1909 there were three versions. The Model A was designed square and had no lights, while the Model B was a little rounder and was equipped with lamps. The more expensive Model C had smaller, air-filled tires. Motor Buggy is specified as the type of construction , which corresponds to a two-seater runabout .

In 1910 the engine output increased to 14 hp. Model E and Model H were still motor buggies. The Model G is referred to as a Limousine Motor Buggy , which indicates a closed body as a sedan .
