Machine Sales Company was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The company took over or rented the Corwin Manufacturing Company's facility in Peabody , Massachusetts in 1907 . It produced commercial vehicles until 1909 . In addition, at least one engine and in 1907 a passenger car were built . The brand name was Strout . In 1909 the company was dissolved.

Robert Strout was the designer of the car. The car had a two-cylinder engine with air cooling .

The trucks were built for the Hewitt Motor Company . They were given as ten tons, making them the heaviest trucks in the country at the time. Ten of these vehicles were manufactured.
