HJ Koehler Motor Corporation , previously HJ Koehler Sporting Goods Company , was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The HJ Koehler Sporting Goods Company was based in New York City . Automobiles were sold from 1898 . Vehicles from Rider-Lewis Motor Car Company and Hupmobile are mentioned . In 1910 the company began producing its own passenger cars and commercial vehicles . There was also a plant in Bloomfield , New Jersey . The brand name was Koehler . Car production ended in 1912.

In 1918 the name was changed to HJ Koehler Motor Corporation . Trucks were built until 1923.
