Adolph Monsen ran an auto dealership at 329 Clark Street in Chicago , Illinois . In the Chicago Tribune of August 22, 1907, a Monsen Automobile Garage is mentioned. Monsen manufactured a number of automobiles from 1908. The brand name was Monsen . According to a source, he founded only in 1910 with a starting capital of 10,000 US dollars officially Monsen car garage . The establishment of such a company with the aforementioned start-up capital in Chicago is confirmed. However, the names William Brown, William Sherman Hay and A. Wright and JM Wright are mentioned. In one source the name is Monsen Auto Garage Co. , and the other just says Monsen Auto Garage .
