Racine Boat and Automobile Company , previously Racine Boat Manufacturing Company , was an American manufacturer of boats and automobiles .

Company history

The Racine Boat Manufacturing Company of Detroit , Michigan made boats. In November 1908 the start of automobile production was announced. It ran from 1909 to 1911. The brand name was Racine . Overall, only a few road vehicles were built. In 1911 the company name was Racine Boat and Automobile Company . W. Sidney Sumner ran the company. It is not known when the company was dissolved.

Between 1893 and 1916 there was a Racine Boat Manufacturing Company of the same name . The seat was first in Racine in Wisconsin and from 1903 or 1904 in Muskegon in Michigan. The connection is unclear.
