Wisconsin Carriage Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1885 in Janesville , Wisconsin . It made carriages . In 1909 Arthur P. Aller, Walter R. Kohler, William Morris and RE Wisner ran the company. They promoted the designer TE Warnock from Detroit to order cars to design. Production began in 1910. The brand name was Wisco . Planning amounted to 100 vehicles for the first year. In the same year the production of motor vehicles ended . Carriages continued to be made.

A reorganization led to the Janesville Products Company around 1915 , which existed until 1940.

Motor vehicles

The vehicles had a four-cylinder engine . A 111.125 mm bore and 120.65 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 4680 cm³ . The engine was specified with 30.5 hp . The chassis had a 300 cm wheelbase . The Model A-4 was a four-seat baby tonneau . The A-5 model was an open touring car with five seats. The new price was 1750 US dollars each .
