Lincoln Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1914 as the successor to the American Motorette Company . The seat was also in Detroit , Michigan . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Lincoln , possibly with the addition of Highway . HDW Mackaye was the designer. Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

More American car brands named Lincoln introduced Lincoln Electric Company , Lincoln Automobile Company , Lincoln Motor Car Works and the Ford Corporation as Lincoln ago.

The only model was a small car that was deliberately placed higher in the market than the many cycle cars . The four-cylinder engine had 71.4375 mm bore , 101.6 mm stroke , 1629 cc displacement and 20 hp . The motor cable was transmitted to the rear axle via a two-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The bonnet was similar to the Renault models at the time . This was possible because the water cooler was mounted behind the engine.

The structure was unusual. It was called a two- to three-seater roadster . The driver sat in the back seat, which was wide enough for two people. In front of it was a folding seat for a third passenger.
