Princess Cyclecar Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Detroit , Michigan in 1913 . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Little Princess .

In 1914 there was a reorganization. The successor was the Princess Motor Car Company with the brand name Princess .

Contrary to the company name, the offer was a small car and not a real cycle car . The vehicle had a four-cylinder engine with a 69.85 mm bore , 101.6 mm stroke and 1557 cm³ displacement . He was specified with 14/16 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a planetary gear and a cardan shaft .

The chassis had a 224 cm wheelbase . The structure was an open roadster with two seats next to each other.
