Princess Motor Car Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1914 as the successor to the Princess Cyclecar Company in Detroit , Michigan . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Princess . In May 1915 65 vehicles were shipped to Ireland . In September 1915 the Saxon Motor Car Corporation moved into the larger plant .

Production ended in 1918. In 1919 a magazine reported on the liquidation.

1914 there was the Model B . It was based on the previous company's Little Princess . A four-cylinder engine with 12 hp propelled the vehicles. The chassis had a wheelbase of 234 cm and a track width of 112 cm . The structure was an open roadster with space for two people.

1915 from the Model C . The original price increased from 445 to 495 US dollars . Further changes have not been reported.

In 1916 a new development came onto the market with the Model 30 . The four-cylinder engine came from GB&S and developed 23 hp. The wheelbase was 264 cm. There was a choice of a touring car with five seats and a roadster with two seats.

In 1917 it became the Model 30-D . The roadster now had three seats. A two-seater Speedster was added. There was also the Model 4-36 . It had the same engine but 274 cm wheelbase. A five-seat touring car and a three-seat roadster are named.

In 1918 the range consisted of the Model 30-D and Model 4-36-F . They corresponded to the previous year's models.
