Blackstone Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

ML Rogers, LL Irwin and Harry W. Davis founded the company in 1916. The headquarters were in Chicago and the plant in Momence , both in Illinois . The vehicles were marketed as Blackstone . Production ended at the end of 1916 when the company was dissolved.

The vehicles consisted of many bought-in parts. The original price was 845 US dollars . By comparison, a Ford Model T sedan cost $ 740 in early 1916 .
