Omaha Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

David W. Henry was the chief engineer at Colby Motor Company before he was fired. He moved to Omaha , Nebraska . There he founded the new company in early 1912 with the help of local business people. In April of the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Omaha . Since the company's own factory was not yet finished, production initially took place at the Stroud Machine Company in the immediate vicinity. The first vehicles were delivered from May 1912. It is unclear whether the own factory was ever finished. Production ended in 1913. Bankruptcy followed in September 1913 .

The only model was the Model 30 . It had a four-cylinder engine . 103.1875 mm bore and 114.3 mm stroke resulted in 3823 cm³ displacement . The engine output of 30 hp was transferred to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The only structure was a touring car with five seats. The curb weight was given as around 907 kg.
