Perfex Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Los Angeles , California in 1912 . Paul Brown Jr. was president. The designer James R. Fouch had already gained experience in automobile construction with the Morrow-Mercury Motor Car Company . They started producing automobiles in the same year. The brand name was Perfex . Twelve passenger cars were built in the first year . In July 1913, commercial vehicles added to the range. A little later, Brown announced the discontinuation of car production. Fouch then left the company and founded his own company Fouch for vehicle production.

Production ended in 1913. A total of around 125 vehicles were built. Mission , a local truck manufacturer, took over the company.

All vehicles had a bought-in engine from GB&S . It was a four-cylinder engine with T-head , 95,25 mm bore , 114.3 mm stroke and 3258 cc engine capacity . Its power was given as 22.5 hp .

The car's chassis had a wheelbase of 269 ​​cm . It was bodied as a roadster with two seats.
