Postal Automobile & Engineering Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . There is also the name Postal Auto & Engine Company .

Company history

Fred Postal founded the company in Bedford , Indiana in 1906 . He took over the factory of the disbanded Anderson Machine Company and began producing automobiles. The brand name was Postal . Production ended in 1908.

The Buggy Car Company took over the company.

The model 2 was a highwheeler on offer . With the large wheels, the vehicle was well suited for the bad roads of the time. It had a chassis with a 178 cm wheelbase .

The two-cylinder engine had a 107.95 mm bore , 101.6 mm stroke and 1860 cm³ displacement . It was air-cooled and had 12.5 hp . It was mounted under the seat and drove the rear axle. The setup was a runabout with two seats. Was steered with a steering lever. The original price was 475 US dollars .
