Crusader Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1914 in Joliet , Illinois . The Dayton Cyclecar Company previously worked at the plant. WHERE Dayton was the designer. Automobile production began in 1914. The brand name was Crusader . Production ended in 1915.

Dayton moved to the New Era Engineering Company .

vehicles

The only model was a further development of the last Dayton. It was positioned one class higher than the vehicle previously known as the cycle car. The wheelbase of the chassis was shortened to 257 cm and the track width was increased to 142 cm. The four-cylinder engine with 18 hp remained unchanged. Three-speed transmission and cardan drive were new. There was a choice of roadsters and touring cars .
