Harrison Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1906 as a division of the Harrison Wagon Works . The seat was in Grand Rapids , Michigan . In February 1906, the first vehicle was presented at the Chicago Automobile Show . The brand name was Harrison . Albert C. Menges was the designer. Menges left the company in November 1906.

In March 1907 there were problems. A reorganization was planned. Clay H. Hollister, Henry W. Marsh, Mark Norris, Maurice Shanahan and James R. Wiley are named in this context. Instead, they went bankrupt . In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The Anthony-Hatcher Company continued production.

The specialty of the vehicles was a starter . Obviously it was not mature enough and was causing some problems. A four-cylinder engine with 6300 cm³ displacement and 40 HP power propelled the vehicles. The chassis had a wheelbase of 269 ​​cm . The structure was an open touring car with seven seats.
