Fredonia Iron Works was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Fredonia , Kansas . HE Esch was one of the employees. In 1909, it manufactured automobiles that were marketed as Griffin .

In 1913, WH Ralston took over the company and planned to merge it with the Structural Iron Works of Kansas City , also from Fredonia.

As far as is known, there was only one model in the range. It had remarkably large wheels, similar to a highwheeler . The engine was mounted in the front of the chassis and drove the rear axle. The structure was open and was called a car buggy . The original price was 500 US dollars .
