De Palma Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of aircraft engines and automobiles .

prehistory

The racing driver Ralph DePalma had already made two vehicles to customer orders in New York City in 1905 . They were called De Palma .

In 1911 he announced that he wanted to start a company to manufacture touring cars and roadsters to order. But nothing came of it. A vehicle may have been created.

Company history

In 1916 he founded the company in Detroit , Michigan, together with Frank P. Book . Frank Book became President, DePalma Vice President and HV Book Secretary and Treasurer. Now aircraft engines and racing cars were created . DePalma left the company in 1917. Then the track of the company is lost.

In addition to racing cars, it was advertised that Speedsters would be made to customer specifications. Probably fewer than ten passenger cars were built .
