Spenny Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

prehistory

Charles A. Spenny lived in Tucson , Arizona in 1913 . There he made three vehicles. He realized that Arizona was the wrong state to be successful in the automotive industry.

Company history

In the summer of 1913 he moved to Michigan and negotiated with the chambers of commerce in various cities. Holland showed interest. He founded the company in the city in October 1913. In 1914 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Spenny . Production ended in the same year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Two models were created in Holland. One was named 4/30 , which indicates a four-cylinder engine and 30 hp . The original price is 1075 US dollars . There was also the 6/60 . As a touring car, it cost $ 3,750. Sales to Chicago are recorded.
