Allen-Kingston Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Walter C. Allen was a vehicle importer in New York City , New York State . He founded a vehicle production company in Kingston and took over the New York Car & Truck Company from the same town. The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Allen-Kingston . Around 100 vehicles were built in the first year of production. In 1910 the company moved to Bristol , Connecticut . Production ended in the same year.

In 1908 the range consisted of three models. It was powered by a four-cylinder engine with 40/45 hp . The Model C with a 320 cm wheelbase was a touring car with seven seats. The Runabout Model D only had a 307 cm wheelbase. The Model E sedan had a wheelbase of 320 cm.

In 1909 there was a vehicle with the Four with an engine only 17 hp. The wheelbase of the Coupé de Ville was 269 cm. Another model, also called Four , had an engine with 48 hp and 317 cm wheelbase. It was available as a touring car, a runabout, a limousine, as well as a Meadowbrook , Gunboat and Baby Tonneau , although it is unclear what the three last-named bodies represented.

In 1910, the aforementioned big four was available as a roadster , touring car, Coupé de Ville, Racer and Gunboat . The junior was also part of the range manufactured by GJG Motor Car Company . Its four-cylinder engine developed 36 hp. The wheelbase was 305 cm. The Roadster and Baby Tonneau bodies have survived .
