New Way Motor Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded on January 23, 1905 in Lansing , Michigan . The predecessor was the Clarkmobile Company . Driving forces were William H. Newbrough as treasurer and manager and Charles H. Way as mechanical engineer. AC Stebbins, possibly the funder, became president. In the same year, the production of engines and automobiles began, with the focus on engines. The brand name was New Way . Vehicle production ended in 1907 and engine production in 1908. One source states that seven vehicles were made.

Products

The engines, designed by Way, were air-cooled .

The passenger cars were built on chassis from Clarkmobile. They also had the self-made air-cooled engine.
