Frykman was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

August Frykman and his brother Victor ran the Souris Blacksmith and Machine Shop in Souris , North Dakota . In 1908 he made his first automobile . The Souris Messenger reported about it on May 15, 1908. The brand name was Frykman . In 1909 a second vehicle followed, which he sold to the local butcher Tom Nichol. This ended vehicle production. Plans for an omnibus were no longer implemented.

Victor Frykman may also have made a vehicle in 1908.

The first vehicle had a water-cooled two - cylinder engine with 12 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via two chains. The wheelbase was 198 cm. The wheels were 36 inches and 38 inches, respectively.

The second vehicle had a 20/24 hp engine.

The planned bus should offer space for nine people.

A two-cylinder engine has survived for Victor Frykman's project.
