Bauer Machine Works Company was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1913 in Kansas City , Missouri . A plant was taken over in which Caps Brothers Manufacturing Company , Farmer's Auto-Motor Car Company , Kansas City Motor Car Company and Kansas City Vehicle Company were already active. In 1914 the production of automobiles and commercial vehicles began . The brand name was Bauer . Production ended in 1916.

There was no association with the Bauer Taxicab Manufacturing Company , which used the same brand name.

The only passenger car was the Model 30 . It is mistakenly called a cyclecar . It had a four-cylinder engine with 95.25 mm bore , 127 mm stroke , 3620 cm³ displacement and 22.5 hp . The wheelbase was 279 cm. The open roadster offered space for two people.

The trucks were made from parts that the last operator of the plant had left over.
