WH Schlosser Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

Conrad, Philip and JB Schlosser founded the engine production company at the end of 1906. The seat was in New York City . In 1910 a single passenger car was created that remained a prototype . Series production of automobiles began in 1912. The brand name was Schlosser . Production ended in 1913. Overall, only a few motor vehicles were built.

The engines were made for cars, utility vehicles, and boats .

The prototype from 1910 had a four-cylinder engine with 32 hp . The chassis had a 305 cm wheelbase .

A self-made four-cylinder engine was used in the series models. 127 mm bore and 152.4 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 7722 cm³ . It was a T-head engine with 40 hp. The wheelbase was 320 cm. The choices were a runabout for $ 4,200 , a touring car for $ 4,500, and a sedan for $ 5400.

In 1913, the last existing vehicles were sold for $ 2,370.
