Alden Sampson Division was an American manufacturer of motor vehicles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1911 as the successor to the Alden Sampson Manufacturing Company . It was a division of the United States Motor Company . The seat was in Detroit , Michigan . The production of commercial vehicles continued. Passenger cars were also created . The brand name was Sampson . Production ended in 1911.

The only car was the Model 35 . It had a four-cylinder engine . 101.6 mm bore and 114.3 mm stroke resulted in 3707 cc displacement . The engine output of 35 hp was transferred to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The chassis had a wheelbase of 290 cm . The structure was an open touring car .

The commercial vehicles were trucks .
