Hassler Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Robert H. Hassler was one of the founders of the Marion Motor Car Company in 1904 . Later he manufactured shock absorbers , power transmissions and other components for vehicles with his Robert H. Hassler Inc.

In 1917 he founded the company in Indianapolis , Indiana . He made automobiles, which he named Hassler after his name . The first vehicles were presented at the Chicago Motor Show. Production ended in the same year.

Only one model was on offer. It had a four-cylinder engine from Buda Engine Co. 95.25 mm bore and 130.175 mm stroke gave a 3710 cc displacement .

The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm . The only structure was an open roadster . The original price was 1650 US dollars .
