Hartman had bought gasoline engines cheaply in 1914 from Model Gas Engine Works as the company was preparing to move from Peru , Indiana to Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , and therefore sold its stocks at low prices. They were four-cylinder engines with a displacement of 3151 cm³ and 3205 cm³ . The three-speed transmissions were also from Model.

Hartman designed the chassis himself. The wheelbase was 279 cm. The superstructures have not survived. One illustration shows a roadster .
