White Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

NH White had automotive experience at Chadwick Engineering Works in Pottstown , Pennsylvania . He started his own business in Waterloo , Iowa , in 1914 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was initially White .

In the same year he moved back to Pottstown. There he continued production. The vehicles were now called WG . Production ended in 1914. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Only one model was on offer. It was called a cyclecar . However, it is unclear whether it met the criteria. It resembled many competing models. It had a V-2 engine with air cooling . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a friction gear and a chain. The chassis had a wheelbase of 244 cm and a track width of 102 cm . The vehicle was bodied as a roadster . It offered space for two people side by side. The new price of the flat share was 375 US dollars .
