Niagara Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Buffalo , New York , in 1915 . It was an amalgamation of the Mutual Motor Car Company , which was designated as the sponsor, and the Poppenberg Motor Company as the sales company. In 1915 automobile production began at a Crow-Elkhart plant in Elkhart , Indiana . The brand name was Niagara , possibly with the addition of Four . Production ended in 1916. A total of around 500 vehicles were built.

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Niagara were Niagara Automobile Company (1901) , Niagara Motor Vehicle Company , Wilson Automobile Company and Niagara Motors Manufacturing Company .

Only one model was on offer. The Model C-16 had a four-cylinder engine from Lycoming . 88.9 mm bore and 127 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 3153 cm³ and an output of 20 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm . Are Narrated touring car with five seats and Roadster with two seats.
