Hodgetts was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

ER Hodgetts had gained experience in the construction of steam cars at Locomobile . He made five automobiles in Wallingford , Connecticut , in 1908 . He sold four of them. The brand name was Hodgetts .

In addition, together with his father WJ Hodgetts, he ran the only automobile workshop that existed in the city in 1908.

Three vehicles were steam cars. The other two had gasoline engines .

The last vehicle was intended for personal use. It had a four-cylinder engine with 40 hp . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via two chains. The chassis had a 305 cm wheelbase . The open touring car offered space for seven people.
