Markus Juchems

Markus Juchems (born January 10, 1975 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German radiologist and chief physician of diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Konstanz Clinic .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1994, Juchems studied human medicine at the  Semmelweis University in Budapest, the TU Dresden and the University of Ulm . There he received his doctorate in radiology in 2003 on the subject of blood flow simulation using data from aortic aneurysms reconstructed from computer tomography .

He completed his specialist training at the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology of the Ulm University Clinic with Hans-Jürgen Brambs . He completed his habilitation at Brambs in 2010 and received the  Venia legendi as a private lecturer in the same year. In 2013 the Senate of Ulm University awarded him an unscheduled professorship. Between 2010 and 2013, Juchems was the managing senior physician, later the senior senior physician and deputy medical director of the Ulm University Radiological Clinic. In January 2014 he took up the position as chief physician of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology in Konstanz.

Markus Juchems is a son of Rudolf Juchems .

Clinical-scientific work

Juchem's radiological focus is the diagnosis and interventional care of the organs of the abdominal cavity with a focus on the pancreas , gastrointestinal tract and the liver-biliary system. He contributed to the creation of several guidelines.
