Roebling-Planche was an American automobile brand.

Brand history

The Walter Automobile Company was initially based in New York City and later in Trenton , New Jersey . William Walter directed it. Washington A. Roebling was also involved. The engineer Etienne Planche came from France and had previously worked for Peugeot . In 1908 Planche was general manager at Walter. That year, Planche began designing a racing car on behalf of Roebling . The brand name was Roebling-Planche .

In early 1909, William Walter left the company, which was in financial trouble. The Roebling family took over. There were plans for a Roebling Planche Company , but it was never founded. A previous model was continued. A second model also appeared. Both were marketed as Roebling planche .

In May 1909, Mercer Autocar Company became the successor company. Thus in 1909 the end for Roebling-Planche came.
