Sinclair-Scott Company was an American company of engineering and manufacturers of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded around 1837. It was active in the field of mechanical engineering. From 1905 it supplied parts to the Ariel Motor Company for their automobile production. At that time the headquarters were in Baltimore , Maryland . After Ariel's assignment, the company began manufacturing automobiles in 1907. The brand name was Maryland . Vehicle production ended in 1910. A total of 871 vehicles were built.

It is not known when the company was dissolved.

There was no association with the Maryland Automobile Company , which used the same brand name a few years earlier.

All vehicles had a four-cylinder engine with OHC valve control from the Trebert Gas Engine Company .

In 1907 the model was called 26/28 HP . The chassis had a wheelbase of 254 cm . There was a choice of touring cars with five seats and a roadster .

In 1908 there was the 36 HP . The engine developed 36 hp . The roadster had a wheelbase of 269 cm. The wheelbase of the touring car and the sedan was 284 cm.

In 1909 the 30 HP was in the range. The engine output was 30 hp and the wheelbase was 290 cm. Touring cars with five seats, roadsters with four seats and town cars with four seats have survived.

Model H followed in 1910 . The engine developed 28 hp. The wheelbase was lengthened to 295 cm. The touring car had space for five people and the toy tonneau for four people.
