Aristos Company was an American company in the automotive industry .

Company history

The company was based in New York City . Initially, it manufactured accessories for vehicles. One product was reported from 1912. In 1914 a license was acquired for a special engine that Martin Fischer had developed from Fischer-Wagen . Automobile production began that year, assisted by the Palmer & Singer Manufacturing Company . The brand name was Mondex Magic . This was a combination of the word Mondex , which many products of the Aristos Company carried, and the engine name Magic . Production ended in 1915. In the same year the company went bankrupt .

Products

The Mondex Shock Preventer can be traced back to 1912. In addition, there was a Mondex helix mixer from around 1913 that had something to do with the carburetor . A polish is also mentioned.

The passenger car had six-cylinder engines . It was available in two sizes. The smaller one had 85.725 mm bore , 120.65 mm stroke , 4178 cm³ displacement and 40 hp . The larger made 60 hp from 6950 cm³ displacement, which resulted from 101.6 mm bore and 142.875 mm stroke. The chassis had a wheelbase of 340 cm for the smaller model and 356 cm for the larger model. Both were bodied as touring cars .
