Krit Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The company was founded in Detroit , Michigan in the summer of 1909 . Claude S. Briggs and WS Piggins were involved. Kenneth Crittenden was the vice president and the designer. In 1910 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was initially KRIT , later Krit . Many vehicles were exported. The company was in financial difficulties several times. Walter S. Russel took over the company in 1911. Crittenden remained vice president. Alwin A. Gloetzner became plant manager.
In 1913, the brand name MCC was introduced for one model , but was only used for one year. Its only market was Louisiana .
In January 1914, the Krit Sales Company was founded as a sales company. Other problems arose that year. The First World War in Europe prevented exports to Europe. At the beginning of 1915 bankruptcy followed for both the manufacturer and its sales company.
In the spring of 1915 everything was auctioned. Individual vehicles were still assembled by hand from existing parts.
The trademark was a swastika (swastika). That was before the use of this symbol under National Socialism .

All vehicles had a four-cylinder engine . In 1910 it was specified with 22.5 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 244 cm . Model A was a two-seat runabout , Model B was a three-seat roadster , and Model C was a four-seat Surrey .
1911 these three models were as Model A designated. There was no change in terms of wheelbase and engine power. In addition, with the Model U Underslung, a vehicle appeared in the Underslung design , which was built lower. The body was a roadster. The other data corresponded to the Model A .
In 1912 there were different wheelbases. Model A was a roadster with 244 cm wheelbase, Model K was a touring car with 269 cm wheelbase and Model M was a torpedo with 249 cm wheelbase. No wheelbase is specified for the Model U Underslung as a roadster. The engine power remained unchanged.
In 1913 the engines made 25 hp. Model A was a two-seater roadster with a 244 cm wheelbase. Model KR as a two-seater roadster and Model KT as a five-seater touring car had a wheelbase of 269 cm.
In 1914 the Model L was in the range. The engine was again specified with 22.5 hp. The wheelbase was a uniform 274 cm. There was a choice of a touring car with five seats, a roadster with three seats and a delivery van .
In 1915 it became two models. Engine power and wheelbase did not change. The Model M was available as a luxury touring car with five seats, a convertible with three seats and a roadster with three seats. The Model O was only available as a five-seat touring car and a three-seat roadster.

The only model Six had a six-cylinder engine . It made 36 hp. The wheelbase was 305 cm. The structure was a touring car with five seats.
