Etnyre Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

ED Etnyre had already announced at the end of 1908 that he wanted to manufacture vehicles. In 1910 he founded the company in Oregon , Illinois . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Etnyre . At the end of 1911 the company was dissolved due to underfunding.

A total of ten vehicles were built. One source states that six of these were sold. The other four were used up during test drives.

A self-made four-cylinder engine powered the vehicles. He developed 50 hp from a displacement of 7700 cc . The chassis had a wheelbase of 325 cm . The new price was about 3500 US dollars , depending on the structure .

The Model E from 1910 to 1911 was a touring car with seven seats. The Model N was a four-seater roadster that was only available in 1910. The Model T was born in 1910 as Cl. C. labeled with five seats, which could stand for Close-Coupled Touring Cars , and in 1911 referred to as Double Rumble with four seats.
