Gilmore Electric Company was an American company.

Company history

EA Gilmore ran a mechanical workshop in Boston , Massachusetts . There he manufactured some automobiles in 1905 , which were marketed as Gilmore Electric . In 1906 the company moved within Boston and limited itself to the activity as a workshop and charging station for electric cars .

The year of establishment and dissolution are not known. An advertisement from 1898 has survived, but with the location of South Boston . One source states that the company existed in 1904. In March 1911, The New York Times reported on the South Boston company.

Only electric cars were on offer. One source thinks that they were created after customer orders.
