Pullman Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Pullman Motor Car Company was a since 1904 dealership in Chicago in Illinois . In 1907 the new vehicle production company was founded in the same town. The Model Gas Engine Works was involved in the production. The brand name was Pullman Flyer . Production ended in 1908.

The company is not to be confused with the Pullman Motor Car Company of York , Pennsylvania , which marketed vehicles as Pullman between 1903 and 1917 .

One model had a four-cylinder engine that was specified with 45/50 hp . A 127 mm bore and 139.7 mm stroke resulted in a displacement of 7078 cc . The transmission had four gears. The chassis had a wheelbase of 300 cm or 305 cm, depending on the source . There was a choice of touring cars , limousines and a speed car . The new prices were between 3800 and 5000 US dollars .

There was also a model with a six-cylinder engine that was specified with 36 hp. The wheelbase was 305 cm. Touring cars and speed cars have come down to us .

Also, a source mentions a 24 HP . The two-cylinder engine with 127 mm bore, 177.8 mm stroke and 4504 cm³ displacement developed 24 hp. The wheelbase measured 254 cm. The open touring car offered space for five people.
