Rex Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . There is also the name Rex Automobile Car Company .

Company history

The company was based in Indianapolis , Indiana . In 1908 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Rex . In February 1909, a newspaper reported that it was planning to move to a plant in Greencastle , Indiana. Then the track of the company is lost.

There was no association with the Rex Motor Company , which used the same brand name a few years later.

Highwheelers were on offer . With the big wheels they were well suited for the bad roads of the time. The solid rubber tires were typical . The structure is described as a motor buggy .
