Hoover was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

HH Hoover lived in St. Louis , Missouri . He designed a vehicle in October 1913. He announced the series production. The brand name was Hoover . Production ended in 1914. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The only model is called a cyclecar . It had an air-cooled single cylinder engine with 5 hp . The cubic capacity has not been handed down, but there are many indications that it was below 1100 cm³ and thus fulfilled the criterion for cycle cars. The engine power was transmitted via a chain.

The chassis had a wheelbase of 213 cm and a track width of 91 cm . Construction was an open roadster with two seats in a row. The curb weight was given as 159 kg. The wheels were wire spoke wheels.

The original price was 375 US dollars .
