Royal Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Elkhart , Indiana in 1913 . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Royal . Production ended in 1913. A source suspects underfunding as the cause of the dissolution.

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Royal were Royal Automobile Company and Royal Cyclecar Company .

There were two models on offer. Both had a four-cylinder engine with T-head . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a three-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft . The bodies were touring cars with space for five people.

The Model 35 had a 35 hp engine . The original price was 895 US dollars . The 45 had a 45 horsepower engine and cost $ 1,095.
