MW Savage Factories Company was an American company.

Company history

The company was based in Minneapolis , Minnesota . Members of the Savage family ran it. Production included automobiles , engines , stoves , stopwatches, and sewing machines . Automobiles were made from 1910 to 1911. The brand name was Dan Patch , after a famous racehorse. In 1911 1500 vehicles of 18 different models were planned, including utility vehicles , runabouts , highwheelers and touring cars . These numbers were missed. According to unconfirmed rumors, some vehicles were also marketed as Savage , possibly as late as 1912.

It is not known when the company was dissolved.

The vehicles were designed by a different manufacturer, possibly the WH McIntyre Company .

There were four models with four cylinders on offer .

In the Thirty-Five model series , the engine developed 35 hp . The wheelbase was 279 cm. Model 70 was a touring car and Model 71 was a roadster .

The Forty series had a 40 hp engine. The chassis had a wheelbase of 320 cm. Model 50 was bodied as a five-seat touring car and Model 51 as a four-seat torpedo .
