Gerald Kretzschmar

Gerald Kretzschmar (* 1971 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a Protestant theologian .

Life

From 1990 to 1996 Kretzschmar studied Protestant theology. In 1996 he passed the first theological exam at the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate . From 1996 to 1998 he completed a doctoral degree and received a doctoral scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation . From 1998 to 2001 he completed the vicariate in Frankenthal (Palatinate) . After completing his doctorate in 1999 with a practical-theological study on the empirical, social-scientific and theological perception of distant ecclesiasticalism, from 2001 to 2004 he was a research assistant and employee in the department for practical theology at the Protestant theological faculty of the University of Munich and lecturer at the Institute for Sociology of the Philosophical Faculty of the TU Dresden . From 2005 to 2015 he was pastor of the Evangelical Church of the Palatinate in Waldfischbach-Burgalben . From 2006 to 2015 he was a private lecturer in practical theology at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Bonn . From 2010 to 2013 he was teaching at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Mainz . In the 2013/2014 winter semester, he represented the Chair of Practical Theology I at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Tübingen . Since 2015 he has been teaching at the chair (W3) for practical theology with a focus on homiletics, liturgy and church theory in Tübingen .
