A selection of theological focuses

Pohl-Patalong developed and distributed the method of the psychodrama of the bible developed by Peter Pitzele in the USA in Germany under the name Bibliolog .

In her habilitation thesis on church theory, she analyzes the conflict between the local congregation and inter- congregational work. In doing so, she developed a model of church locations as a third way. At such church locations, on the one hand, "community church life" should take place on the one hand, possibly with parish pedagogical support, and on the other hand, certain "work areas" such as diakonia, educational work, counseling or target group-specific offers under the responsibility of pastors. In a series of essays she deals with the shape and future of the Church as well as the tasks and future of the pastoral profession.

Religious didactic questions represent a further focus, in which Pohl-Patalong includes aspects of gender research in a special way.

Private life

Uta Pohl-Patalong has been married to Stephan Pohl-Patalong since 1995. They have a daughter together.
