Crown Magnetic was an American automobile brand.

Brand history

The Owen Magnetic Motor Car Corporation of Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania , received a major order for 500 chassis from exporter JL Crown in 1920 . The plan was to export the chassis to England . Le Grice Elers Ltd. from London they should sell. A full-page advertisement from November 1920 has survived. The brand name was Crown Magnetic . The end came in 1922. A total of around 20 vehicles were built.

The vehicles had a six-cylinder engine with OHV valve control and 6864 cm³ displacement . The chassis alone cost 1950 pounds . British body manufacturers made the bodies. Four-seat touring cars have been handed down. One vehicle had the British registration number MB 1623 .
