Company history
The Falls Machine Company was founded in 1901 in Sheboygan Falls , Wisconsin . At first she manufactured milling machines and other machines for woodworking. From 1908 a single cylinder engine was developed that was used as an industrial engine or for agricultural purposes. Montgomery Ward was a bulk buyer. A few years later, gasoline engines for automobiles were added. Around that time, the name was changed to Falls Motors Corporation . The previous production area was transferred to the Jenkins Machinery Company . The engines were supplied to various automobile manufacturers who did not manufacture any engines themselves. In 1921 and 1924 a few automobiles were also made. The brand name was Falls . With many small automakers forced to quit in the 1920s, business declined. Everything was sold in late 1924, including the factory building to Jenkins.
